We were kindly sent this photograph from a lady in Australia who found a gravestone in Queenscliff Cemetery, Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia for Old Boy 3486 Peter Kendrick Phoenix, Peter was born February 1930 and left Mercury to join the Merchant Navy (Buries Marks Line). He doed in 2015.
His memorial mentions that he worked as a Port Phillip Sea Pilot. He is included in the Index of the book ‘Pilot on Board – thee 175th anniversary history of the Port Phillip Sea Pilots, by Brendan Moloney, is Peter K. Phoenix, Age at entry 41, from England, In Service 1972 – 1993.
